Stop Smoking Pot and Start Saving Energy

Evan Mills, a longtime energy analyst at Lawrence Berkeley National Labs released a report that shows a shocking number: Marijuana grown indoors is responsible for 1% of the annual US use of energy or $5 Billion with "B" in energy consumption. That is the equivalent of 2 million households combined.
The reason is the use of the high-intensity lighting, dehumidification, air-conditioning, irrigation systems, space-heating, and ventilation systems needed to make sure marijuana plants grow up to be healthy, smokeable adults.
Before you smoke a joint, remember that the energy used to create it is the equivalent of 100-watt bulb left on for 17 hours.
