Apple - True Religion?



Believe it or not, a study conducted by Duke University shows that "wearing" the Apple logo has no less significance than wearing a crucifix or the Star of David. Interestingly, the study showed that "those that were highly religious [or primed to think about religion] cared less about national brands ... religion reduces brand reliance by apparently satisfying the need to express self-worth." Those who are devoted to brands have an emotional need to prove their worthiness - "I am wearing Gucci sunglasses, therefore I am good, worthy person".

A similar study showed that the brain scans of people who declared themselves devoted Christians were very similar to those who declared themselves Apple loyalists.
