Success Is Made of Little Victories
Chris Brogan's blog post today addresses an important issue, which we often forget: success is made of little victories and not of one, giant victory. Have a big goal, but break it down in smaller, achievable tasks.
I recently came across a quote from Rene Descartes:
"Divide each difficulty into as many parts as feasible and necessary to achieve it".
How true! Except, that we are so focused on what society dictates that we put logic aside. "What do you mean I can't become an expert overnight?!" Well, success requires sweat and long hours of preparation, experimentation, and repetition. Practice does make it better indeed and most successful people were an overnight success, years in the making.
