The World's Biggest Solar-Powered Building



Thee world’s largest solar energy building opened in November, 2009. The building is located in the province of Shandong and was built in preparation of the Fourth World Solar City Congress. The structure resembles a sun-dial inspired building and it covers 75,000 square meters. Inside the building there are  exhibition halls, scientific research facilities, training facilities, and a hotel. According to local authorities, the energy savings on the building is 30% higher than the national energy saving standard due to advanced roof and wall insulation.
