Change Your Vocabulary, Change Your Luck

Have you ever came across people who, by all things, should have been very successful but they are not? I am sure you wondered why that it - until you listen to them speak. 'It's a bad economy', they say. 'I just knew I was never going to get that job'; 'I could never compete with that other person'. 'I've never been lucky'.

We don't realize how much our vocabulary influences our state of mind, and therefore, our actions. Words are not just words. Words, when repeated frequently, become belief systems. And belief systems lead to the type of actions we are taken. If always think and speak poverty, we will end up believing that poverty is what we are meant to have, and will - unconsciously - take actions that either will lead us to poverty or keep us there.

Successful people have a vocabulary of abundance, not poverty. They never say, 'I can't compete'; they say, 'I will win this competition'. They never say, 'I can't afford'; they say, 'I will wait for the right time to buy this product'. They never say, 'I just knew I was never going to get that job'; they say, 'I am looking for the opportunity that's right for me'.

Their minds then create plans and set in motion actions that will lead them to winning the competition, to finding the right time to buy the product and the opportunity that's right for them.

Success is a state of mind. And it starts with simple words.

Change in vocabulary and you will change your luck.
